Kisspeptin-10 Peptide

Kisspeptin-10 is a biologically active peptide fragment belonging to the kisspeptin family and is widely studied for its role in the regulation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis. Also referred to as the C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin, Kisspeptin-10 interacts with the KISS1R/GPR54 receptor and has been investigated for its relationship with gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) signalling.

Research in humans has demonstrated that Kisspeptin-10 can stimulate GnRH-related activity and increase luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion under specific experimental conditions. Studies have investigated its effects in healthy volunteers as well as in research involving reproductive hormone disorders.

Its research relevance makes Kisspeptin-10 a useful subject for investigations involving neuroendocrinology, reproductive endocrinology, GnRH signalling, LH and FSH regulation, hormone physiology, and kisspeptin receptor biology. Recent clinical research has also continued examining different administration approaches and their effects on reproductive hormones.
